A Statement from PASR:
PASR Statement on Racial Justice
July 29, 2020
In these days of continued social change, The Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR), denounces racism in all its forms. We wish to acknowledge the pain and anger being expressed by People of Color in protests around the country from years of unequal treatment. We also denounce inequality in any form as well as violence against any minority group in the United States. We support and practice empathy and understanding of different points of view. PASR also recognizes that the diversity of our members and the citizens of this country is one of our greatest strengths.

Fundraiser
This year YCPASR will be sponsoring a NO FRILLS FUNDRAISER to benefit the Scholarship Fund. Annually, our organization provides 2- two thousand dollar scholarships to deserving York County high school seniors who are pursuing a degree in education at a Pennsylvania college/university.
Monies from these scholarships depend on funds raised through the John Markish Give Away done at our luncheons. Additional funds that support the scholarships are also provided by the annual auction held at the August gathering. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic several of these luncheons were cancelled.
Therefore, YCPASR is asking members to consider making a donation to the fundraiser to help lessen the deficit created by these cancellations.
Thank you for your help in maintaining this important contribution to the future of the next generation of teachers.
Checks may be mailed to:
Joel Riedel
2170 Cobblestone Lane
York, PA 17408
Make checks payable to YCPASR.
Please write Scholarship Fund in the memo on the check.
Thank you,
Educational Support Committee
