May 10th is the next membership meeting date and once again, we are going to do a virtual meeting.
In May, our guest speaker will be Norina Bentzel. Her story is very powerful. If you lived in this area 20 years ago, you would have heard about it.
Norina brings important insight and observations about leadership and ongoing support in times of crisis and is currently writing a book on the memoirs of this event that altered her life forever.

Norina brings important insight and observations about leadership and ongoing support in times of crisis and is currently writing a book on the memoirs of this event that altered her life forever.
On Friday, February 2, 2001, a 52-year old man entered the North Hopewell-Winterstown Elementary School wielding a 2-foot long machete and randomly attacked twenty-three kindergarten children, their teacher, a third-grade teacher, and the school principal, Norina Bentzel.
The October 10, 2001 edition of People magazine featured Norina in the article titled, “Heroes Among Us” and the Penn Stater Magazine (July/August 2003 edition) featured her in an article titled “Brave Heart”. On June 16, 2008, the Biography channel mini- series, “I Survived” aired with Norina highlighting pieces of that horrific day, February 2, 2001, which changed her life forever. A short time later in 2013 the Investigation Discovery Channel also featured Norina and her story on their series titled “Surviving Evil”. February 2019 she completed a Podcast interview with A & E Productions Network which is expected to be aired in the near future. |
Please try to attend our virtual meeting to hear Norina speak. Her story is inspiring. You may use a regular phone, a smart phone, a tablet or a computer to listen to this amazing, impactful story.
