Message from the President:
Welcome to the York County PASR! We invite you to become a member of this dedicated organization. Our mission is clear- “To serve others in need and to help one another enjoy retirement.” The York Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees has a membership consisting of all school retirees which includes but is not limited to custodians, maintenance workers, secretaries, teachers, cafeteria workers, aides, and administrators.
Our members have generously supported many organizations in our York community. Each time we meet, we focus on community service and learn more about a local organization that impacts the community. In addition to the community service, each meeting provides entertainment or a presentation to help us grow in our personal knowledge. Our meetings are held four times a year at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in York. Membership meetings for 2025 are March 10, May 12, August 11 and November 10. Meetings begin at 9:00 am and end at 12:45 pm. Registration can be located in the YCPASR newsletters.
We support two educational scholarships each year for two worthy seniors in York County entering the field of education. We enjoy fun and fellowship with others in the travel opportunities provided by YCPASR! There are plenty of opportunities for leadership and service. The YCPASR committees are always looking for others to step into more active roles. The board members are an amazing group of committed individuals willing to help in any way possible! Our board meetings for 2025 are January 13, March 17, June 9, and September 8.
